Tyler Panhuyzen Head professionalTyler brings a wealth of quality experience coaching and playing to the Scarborough Tennis Academy endeavour. As a player, Tyler is a 2013 LOSSA (high school) champion and placed 3rd at 2015 U18 National Selections. He has competed at provincials, nationals, and international tournaments.

As a coach, Tyler has seven years of experience. He has coached at the prestigious Donalda Golf and Country Club, Angus Glen Tennis Centre, and Unionville Tennis Club. Tyler has learned from the very best in the business. His mentor, Andy Sutton, is the head of Tennis Canada’s coaching development program. Karl Hale, at Donalda, is the tournament director of the National Bank Open (formerly known as the Rogers Cup).

Tyler holds Tennis Canada’s Club Professional 2 certification, an accolade less than 9% of active coaches in Canada have. Furthermore, when Tyler completed his CP2 at 20 years of age, he was the youngest to hold it at the time. Tyler is committed to bringing a culture of excellence and integrity to STA and ensuring students of all ages and levels get the absolute most value from our programs.
